Someone once said that to realize the value of half a century, you need to ask a new widow. To realize the value of one year, ask a student who has failed a final exam. To realize the value of nine months, ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn baby. To realize the value of one month, ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby. To realize the value of one week, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper. To realize the value of one minute, ask a person who has missed the train. To realize the value of one second, ask a person who has survived an accident. 

Time waits for no one. That’s why we need to remember those wise words from the Bible: ‘Don’t boast about tomorrow, because you don’t know what a day may bring forth,’ and also: ‘Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.’
