The wonder that never goes away

When the first astronauts landed on the Moon, people all over the world people stopped work to witness one of the greatest achievements in human history. But not too many stayed home to watch the second time it happened. And the third time astronauts landed, NASA had to get them to play a simulated game of golf just to get the TV channels to cover the event. The greatest technological achievement in history, yet by the third time we had become bored with it!
But how many times do you have to watch a sunset before you find it boring? How long can you sit and watch the waves rolling in at the beach without feeling calm and inwardly renewed. We may become bored with human achievement but what God has done never ceases to fill us with wonder; because God is the ground and source of our being, and for whom we were made.
