Perception

Human beings are only able to perceive thirty percent of the range of the sun’s light and one seventieth of the spectrum of electromagnetic energy. But bats detect insects by sonar, pigeons navigate by magnetic fields, and bloodhounds perceive a world of smell unavailable to us. Perhaps this explains why the spiritual realities are clear to some while hidden to others. The Bible says that such comes only through spiritual renewal. Jesus said, ‘No one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above;’ and Saint Paul wrote: ‘The man without the Spirit cannot understand the things that come from the Spirit of God… because they are spiritually discerned’
But, if that leaves you feeling that you’ve been left out, remember Jesus also said ‘If you seek you’ll find.’
